Caltronix increases frequency capability to 40 GHz

Caltronix expands RF frequency coverage to 40 GHz

Caltronix, in a continuing effort to expand capabilities and improve service, has expanded RF frequency coverage to 40 GHz. Some of the parameters affected by this increase are frequency generation, frequency measurement, power measurement and spectrum analysis.

ACLASS Signs the APLAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA), Becomes ILAC MRZ Signatory

ACLASS, a Washington D.C. metro area based company, recently attended the 12th Annual General Assembly in Taipei, Chinese Taipei and signed the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on September 13, 2006 for both calibration and testing. APLAC groups accreditation bodies in the Asia Pacific region responsible for accrediting calibration, testing and inspection facilities. APLAC's principal objectives are to foster the development of competent laboratories and inspection bodies in member economies, to harmonize accreditation practices in the region and with other regions, and to facilitate mutual recognition of accredited test, measurement and inspection results through the APLAC multilateral Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA).

As a result of signing the APLAC MRA, ACLASS, already an associate member in
ILAC, now automatically progresses to full membership of ILAC, for testing and
calibration. “A formal signing ceremony for the ILAC MRA will be taking place
November 12, 2006 in Cancun, Mexico,” said Keith Greenaway, ACLASS’ President,
“ACLASS we be there attending the ILAC General Assembly.”

ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) is an international
cooperation between the various laboratory accreditation schemes operated throughout
the world. ILAC is the world's principal international forum for the development of
laboratory accreditation practices and procedures, the promotion of laboratory
accreditation as a trade facilitation tool, the assistance of developing accreditation
systems, and the recognition of competent test facilities around the globe.

Caltronix website update - New easy to use documentation page

In an effort to simplify the way customers access information on our website we have added a new documentation link from our completed job search and Job # search pages. The documentation page contains links to all documentation for the particular job such as: certs, data, out of tolerance letters, limited calibration, repairs, etc, Caltronix continues to attempt to improve the ease of use for our customers so please do not hesitate to let us know what you think.

 


ACLASS Signs the NACLA MRA

Arlington, VA - ACLASS, A Washington D.C. based company, signed the National Cooperation for Laboratory Accreditation (NACLA) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on September 1, 2005 for both calibration and testing. NACLA is a membership organization open to any organization having interest in laboratory accreditation. The purpose of the MRA is to establish confidence among NACLA signatories, MRA applicants, and other members of NACLA of the competence of laboratory accreditation bodies and their accredited laboratories.


Caltronix participates in ASQ Certification

Caltronix Director of Quality Michael A. Dent has earned the new American Society of Quality Certified Calibration Technician certification. This new certification covers Quality, Metrology, Engineering and Management subject areas, summarized in a 4 hour exam. Congratulations Mike!

FIVE DAY TURNAROUND

Caltronix Inc. has shortened our equipment turnaround.
The standard turnaround for all Physical, Dimensional (including transfer gaging) and electrical equipment is now 5 working days and is offered from both our Rochester and Hornell, NY facilities.
 

FLUKE METCAL SOFTWARE

We are pleased to announce we now employ Fluke's MET/CAL Plus calibration software package. This allows us to better service your Fluke test equipment as well as many other manufacturer's DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Clamp-on Meters, Calibrators etc...
         The software provides remote control of our Standards and your test instruments in order to perform the calibration and record the related test data. This reliable, proven software is a great addition to any laboratory.
